During the final year of the program special emphasis is placed on fine-tuning a visual portfolio that can be used for employment search purposes. Students tend to rely on experiences gained in earlier phases of the program as they build and refine project work. Additional emphasis is placed on new media applications and extensible design campaigns. Field placement activities in the final semester also provide the student with firsthand professional experience. Throughout the year many students seek out both placement and employment interviews that often secure entry level positions and a full-time career in graphic design.
